EGES is one of the largest Medium Frequency Induction Furnace manufacturers. Since 1975, they have been producing induction melting and holding furnaces, with nearly 1,000 systems successfully operating across 53 countries on 4 continents.
EGES had been developing the "Melting and Casting Management" SCADA application for its induction furnaces using Citect SCADA for over 15 years. Refactoring a successful application that had spread across four continents with a new technology without abandoning all its dependencies was a very challenging and risky process.
With its innovative and bold approach, EGES trusted inSCADA and decided in 2019 that this change was necessary. In approximately one month, the "Melting and Casting Management" SCADA application named ProMELT was successfully migrated to the inSCADA Platform. This journey, thanks to EGES's bold approach, paved the way for the inSCADA Platform's presence in Russia, Mexico, Estonia and countries in our neighboring regions.
